Previewing & exporting PDFs

RezAI renders your structured resume data into print-ready PDFs. You can preview and download from the Preview page, ask the chat assistant for a render, or export tailored versions from your Jobs board.

Themes

Five themes are available:

  • classic
  • engineeringresumes
  • engineeringclassic
  • moderncv
  • sb2nov

Pick one on the Preview page. The theme only changes layout and typography — your data stays the same, so you can switch freely.

Formatting requirements

The PDF renderer is strict. These rules are enforced when you fill in the questionnaire, but data added other ways can still break a render. If a render fails, check these first:

  • Dates must be YYYY, YYYY-MM, or YYYY-MM-DD (for example 2024, 2024-06, or 2024-06-15). End dates may also be present, lowercase.
  • Phone numbers must include a country code — +1 415 555 0132, not (415) 555-0132. Or leave the field empty.
  • Skill groups need at least one item each. A skill label with no items under it will fail the render — delete the empty group or add an item.
  • Website links need a scheme: https://example.com, not example.com.
  • LinkedIn / GitHub are bare usernames (jane-doe), not pasted profile URLs.

Downloading

Every successful render is stored with your account, so tailored PDFs stay attached to their job on the Jobs board and can be downloaded again later — no need to re-render.

When a render fails

  1. Open the Editor and check the fields above, especially any data that came from a PDF import or a chat edit.
  2. Fix the offending field and render again.
  3. Still stuck? See Troubleshooting or report a bug — include the section you last edited, it speeds things up.
