1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how RezAI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use RezAI (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here and in our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information that provider shares (such as your name and avatar).
• Resume and job data. The resume content, work history, skills, and job descriptions you submit or capture through our browser extension or iOS share extension.
• Usage data. Logs, device and browser information, and metadata about how you interact with the Service, used for security, debugging, and rate limiting.
• Authentication tokens. Session cookies and API tokens used to keep you signed in and to authorize the browser and iOS extensions.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• To generate, tailor, and export resumes using AI on your behalf;
• To authenticate you and secure your account;
• To monitor, debug, and improve the Service;
• To communicate with you about your account, including verification and service-related emails;
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. AI Processing

To generate and tailor resume content, we send relevant portions of your resume and job descriptions to third-party AI providers, including OpenRouter. These providers process the data to return output to you and act as our service providers. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train our own public models.

5. AI Chat Content

Conversations with our AI chat assistant are sent to our AI providers to generate responses and are stored so you can revisit past conversations. We never sell your chat content to advertisers or any other third party. We may use anonymized transcripts — with personal information removed — to improve our product and services.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With service providers who host our infrastructure, send email, and provide AI processing, under contractual obligations to protect your data;
• With authentication providers (Google) when you choose to sign in through them;
• When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your content or close your account at any time, after which we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport, hashed API tokens, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your data directly within the Service, or contact us to exercise these rights. You may also revoke API tokens and opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. These cookies are necessary for the Service to function and do not track you across other websites.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
